Four Valleys & Amazigh Villages 4-Day Tour

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tachte – Tiziane

We’ll depart by minibus from your accommodation in Marrakech and head for the Atlas Mountains, where we’ll begin the trekking route. The first stage will last 6 hours, divided into 3 sections with a lunch stop included.

The first trail, which will serve as a way to acclimate our bodies to the environment, will run through cornfields and pine and juniper forests to the mountain Tizi n’Tachte. From this 6,561-feet (2,000-meter) high massif, we’ll be able to see the Imlikl and Ait Oussaden valleys before continuing.

Afterwards, we’ll see the natural bridge of Imi n’Ifri and learn about the Amazigh legends associated with this pass while enjoying a well-deserved picnic. The last stretch will take us to Tiziane, where we’ll stay in a refuge with dinner waiting for us.

Day 2: Tiziane – Tizi n’Taghrhourte – D’knt

First, we’ll have breakfast at the lodge and then set off. We’ll walk through the valley of Oussaden admiring Tizi n’Taghrhourte, a mountain that reaches 6,545 feet (1,995 meters) high. We’ll walk for 2.5 hours until we reach the Assaka spring, where we’ll stop for a picnic.

The afternoon hike will take us through lush vegetation to the Amazigh village of D’knt. After dinner, we’ll rest in the refuge until sunrise.

Day 3: D’knt – Tizi n’Tagdalte – Tizi Oussem

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll start the morning with a 3-hour hike. We’ll cross corn and barley fields and walnut forests, admiring the mountains of Tizi n’Tagdalte while watching sheep and shepherds.

The hike will take us to a spring, a perfect place to enjoy a picnic before continuing the route. Refueled, we’ll trek another 3 hours towards Tizi Oussem. In this Atlas village, a mountain lodge awaits us where we can have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Tizi Oussem – Azib Tamsoult – Imlil

The last day will be spent in search of a beautiful waterfall in Azib Tamsoult, a real jewel of the Toubkal National Park! After admiring this gorgeous natural wonder, we’ll cross the mountains of Tizi Mzik to reach the village of Imlil.

After a break to recharge our batteries, we’ll get on the minibus and we’ll drop you off back at your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
