Mount Toubkal 2-day Trekking Tour
Description:
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Mount Toubkal
We’ll depart from your accommodation in Marrakech at 9 am. After a two-hour drive, we’ll arrive in Imlil. From this small mountain village, situated in the Atlas Mountains at an altitude of 1800 meters (5905.5118 feet), we’ll start a 5-hour trekking route.
Our first stage will take us to Sidi Chamharouch, also known as “the Devil’s Sultan.” We’ll take a break at an altitude of more than 2300 meters (7545.930 feet) for lunch and enjoy spectacular views. Once we have regained our strength, we’ll continue the walk to a mountain lodge at the foot of Mount Toubkal. There, we’ll have a refreshing dinner and rest until the next day.
Day 2: Mount Toubkal – Imlil – Marrakech
We’ll have breakfast at the mountain lodge before setting off on a nine-hour hike to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in Morocco at 4100 meters (13451.44 feet)! Once we reach the summit, we’ll admire the breathtaking view.
Afterwards, we’ll descend to the base of the mountain to refuel with a picnic lunch. Following lunch, we’ll continue the trek to Imlil. From there, we’ll drive back to Marrakech, arriving between 4 to 6 pm.
